Atlanta Technology Leaders Spotlights Georgia CIO Leadership Association on Business RadioX

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/14 -- The August 7, 2014 Atlanta Technology Leaders show featured two members of the Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA), Curt Carver and Jay Ferro.

Curt Carver is the Vice Chancellor and CIO of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG). Carver has led the transformation of USG Information Technology Services by combining with USG business owners, institutions, and other agencies, and was recognized in the 2014 InformationWeek Elite 100, among many others.

"Our main concern right now is inspiring and graduating more students," stated Carver. "With education and IT at a critical changing point, it's necessary for us to focus on moving funding toward a more outcome-based model: higher student performance would lead to more funding." Jay Ferro, CIO of the American Cancer Society, returned to the Business RadioX studio, and continues to be an influential thought leader in the Information Technology spectrum both in Atlanta and nationwide.
