Livefyre Named Leading Social Depth Platform by Independent Research Firm

Livefyre, the leading real-time content marketing and engagement platform, today announced it has been named a leader among social depth platforms by an independent report from Forrester (News - Alert) Research. The report, "The Forrester Wave™: Social Depth Platforms, Q2 2015," evaluated the top seven software providers out of hundreds of applicants in the space based on their ability to help customers drive product exploration on their websites through social content and interactions.

"Livefyre continues to evolve its platform at an assertive pace," the report said. "Today it provides a highly competitive SDP [social depth platform] option for B2C marketers who grapple with a significant volume and cadence of social content. Salesforce and Adobe (News - Alert) recently became Livefyre investors in its Series D round, a credible nod to Livefyre's advanced moderation and content curation features."

Livefyre received perfect scores for both customer satisfaction and corporate strategy, and was specifically called out for excellence in real-time content publishing and high-volume moderation - which, also according to the report, is what marketers consider the most important feature in a social depth platform.

"The real-time nature of social content provides opportunities to marketers who want to show the latest and greatest content on their website. But real-time also brings the challenge of keeping out unwanted visitors, spam, and content," the report said. "Livefyre clients give the vendor high customer satisfaction scores for the platform's ease of use and automated moderation tools."

Once selected for inclusion in the report after a 62-criteria evaluation, vendors named as leaders met an even more rigorous set of standards including consistently positive customer references, a robust set of social depth capabilities and the right balance of customization, inegrations, and out-of-the-box features for marketers across a range of industries.

The report also highlighted the growing importance of social content when it comes to consumer product exploration and purchasing decisions, noting that the majority of end-users say social depth platforms positively influence sales.

"A brand's most valuable marketing asset, its own website, has become even more critical today since it is often a first stop for buyers in the explore stage of the customer life cycle," said Kim Celestre, VP and Principal Analyst and author of the report. "Social content plays a critical role on these sites since many B2C marketers realize that they can provide a more immersive experience by curating social content and creating online communities. And many buyers will spend more time on web pages that have social content than those that don't."

"For the past two years, we have been deeply committed to understanding and anticipating the ever-changing world of digital marketing - where it's going, what's missing and how we can give our customers the best tools to solve their biggest hardships," said Jordan Kretchmer, founder and CEO of Livefyre. "I'm honored that Forrester Research (News - Alert) sees our vision and recognizes us as a leader among our peers, and I'm thrilled to see our customers agree."
