Business Wire Names Jose Panlilio Vice President, Engineering Infrastructure
Jose Panlilio has joined Business Wire as vice president, engineering
infrastructure, with responsibility for leading the company's IT
Operations teams, and ensuring that the resources and system
requirements are in place to create next generation products, as well as
meeting the complex demands of a growing global organization.
Working closely with Chief Technology Officer Robert
Soares, Panlilio will lead a staff of close to 30 working in systems
engineering, network operations, service desk and web support, making
certain that internal and external needs are dealt with in an
expeditious and efficient manner. Panlilio also is responsible for
auditing the network architecture to ensure peak performance and to
anticipate future challenges.
Additionally, Panlilio is spearheading Business Wire's transformational
shift to a DevOps culture, which seeks to bring products to market more
quickly, while maintaining strict quality assurance standards.
Panlilio has held management positions with Pixelworks (News - Alert), Sony Computer
Entertainment America and Infoblox, among others, during his 15-year IT
career.
