Black Duck Software Announces Plans for RSA Conference and AGC Conference

Black Duck Software, the leading OSS Logistics solutions provider enabling the secure management of open source code, today announced details of its participation at the upcoming RSA Conference and AGC Information Security & Broader Technology Growth Conference in San Francisco. Black Duck CEO Lou Shipley has been invited to present at the America's Growth Capital (AGC) West Coast Technology Conference on April 20. From April 20-24, Black Duck will exhibit at RSA (News - Alert), the world's largest information security event. Executives from Black Duck will be onsite to discuss open source security and demo the brand new Black Duck Hub, which combines open source discovery and vulnerability intelligence to help security and development teams mitigate risk.

The new Black Duck Hub is the only soltion available that has full vulnerability intelligence integrated into OSS management. Identifying, understanding, and remediating new vulnerabilities as they are released is a time consuming process. A wealth of metadata and exploit information exists about vulnerabilities that can help organizations prioritize remediation, but companies seldom have the resources to turn that information into protection. The Black Duck Hub will be available for live demo in Black Duck Software's (News - Alert) booth: South Hall Booth #846.

"Security teams are tasked daily with protecting their company's intellectual property, customer and employee information, and more," said Bill Ledingham, CTO and EVP Engineering, Black Duck Software. "We launched the Black Duck Hub to help security and development teams find and remediate open source vulnerabilities. We are looking forward to interacting with attendees at the AGC Conference and RSA Conference, specifically to educate the industry on how to identify open source security issues faster, prioritize remediation activity, and implement proactive controls to avoid the use of vulnerable components."
