REVERE Awards Now Accepting Nominations for Outstanding PreK-12 Learning Materials

On World Teachers' Day, the Association of American Publishers (AAP) PreK-12 Learning Group opened nominations for the 2015 - 2016 REVERE (Recognizing Valuable Educational Resources) Awards. Founded in 1967, the REVERE Awards have recognized exemplary teaching and learning resources for fifty years.

The awards honor educational resources for learners of all ages, in all media, and in all educational environments, both in and beyond the classroom.

Categories for this year include:

  • Classroom: recognizes resources developed specifically for use by education professionals and learners of any age during formal instruction and training periods in a variety of structures including in person, online/distance, blended, flipped and more
  • Beyond the Classroom: recognizes educationally valuable materials created for general fun, enjoyment, and stimulation
  • Magazines: recognizes publications published at regular intervals on any medium covering educational topics or opportunities to learn
  • Integrated Marketing: recognizes educational product marketing campaigns featuring multiple media channels

The awards are open to products for learners of all ages, from early childhood to adult, and in all formats.

"Over the past 50 years there has been tremendous change in how teachrs teach and how students learn. Educational publishers have adjusted learning materials to better support these shifts," said Jay Diskey, Executive Director of the PreK-12 Learning Group. "The REVERE Awards have also stayed up-to-date with these creative innovations in education and remain dedicated to seeking out the best in trusted learning resources for any student on any platform."
