Simply Hired Reports U.S. Job Listings Grew 0.45% in January 2016

Simply Hired, the largest independent job search engine with properties in 24 countries and 12 languages, today released its Simply Hired U.S. Employment Outlook for January 2016. The report analyzes Simply Hired's comprehensive index of millions of online job listings in every occupation to provide detailed insight into national and local job trends. According to the latest findings, nationwide job listings held steady in January 2016 with 0.45% month-over-month growth. This is the second month in a row that job openings have remained relatively flat. Simply Hired previously reported 0.21% month-over-month growth for December 2015.

This month's Simply Hired U.S. Employment Outlook also provides comprehensive data on job openings, growth and employers by U.S. metro. The new report shows that job listings increased in 15 of the Top 25 largest U.S. metros in January 2016. The metros with the largest gains were Cleveland-Akron (3.30% month-over-month increase), Pittsburgh (3.11%), Minneapolis-St. Paul (2.09%), Seattle-Tacoma (1.90%), and, Raleigh-Durham (1.52%).
