Emma Appoints ExactTarget Co-Founder Peter McCormick to Board of Directors
Emma,
a provider of best-in-class email marketing software and services, today
announced Peter McCormick, co-founder of ExactTarget (now Salesforce
Marketing Cloud), has joined its board of directors. McCormick brings
more than 16 years of enterprise sales and marketing experience to the
board and will help strengthen Emma's already robust email marketing
solutions for midmarket and enterprise organizations.
McCormick co-founded ExactTarget in 2000. Over 13 years, he held
numerous executive positions at the company with responsibility for
corporate development, global operations, partner development, services,
products and marketing. Under McCormick's leadership, ExactTarget grew
to $400 million in revenue and more than 2,000 employees, resulting in a
successful NYSE IPO in 2012 and acquisition by Salesforce for $2.5
billion in 2013. In addition to Emma, McCormick is an independent
director at Booker Software, Clicktale, Smartling and Offerpop.

McCormick's appointment to the Emma board continues the forward momentum
for the Nashville-based software company. Emma has measured
unprecedented growth during the past year, raising $5 million in
capital, increasing its staff by 50 percent and continuing to roll out
several new product enhancements. Emma also hosted its second sold-out
Marketing United conference, welcoming more than 700 marketers from
around the world to Nashville in April.

Prior to ExactTarget, McCormick held sales and channel development

He earned a bachelor's degree in finance and a Master of Business
Administration from the University of Minnesota.
